William Sanning is a dedicated firefighter and EMT with 19 years of experience. Born on March 25, 1990, in Boone County, Missouri, William was drawn to the fire service at a young age. He started as a cadet at 15 and never looked back.
William's passion for helping others has driven his career, from serving as an EMT with Pacific West ambulance to becoming a firefighter/EMT with Yachats Rural Fire Protection District. He takes pride in his work, striving to provide the best patient care and utilizing his skills, including certifications as a pump operator and fire officer.
A husband and father of four, William values family and community. He enjoys outdoor activities, gaming, and traveling to Wyoming. His love for the fire service is matched only by his dedication to his family and community.
William's advice to younger individuals is to start small and work their way up, learning from others and using good judgment. He hopes to continue growing as a fire service professional, achieving certifications in rope rescue and swift water rescue.
Since joining the Siletz Fire District in 2019, William has been an invaluable asset, bringing his expertise and passion to the team. His favorite memory so far is being promoted to lieutenant on February 15th, 2024.
