Richard "Rick" Olson was born in Portland, Oregon, but has called Siletz home since 2014. With a deep commitment to his community, Rick was elected to the Siletz Fire District Board of Directors in 2016. His leadership skills quickly became apparent, leading to his election as President of the Board in 2018, a role he has held with distinction ever since.

Rick's primary occupation has been driving trucks, a career he's pursued for most of his adult life. However, his entrepreneurial spirit led him to a brief but memorable stint as the owner and operator of a beloved coffee shop right here in Siletz. These days, you'll find Rick working for one of our local sanitary services, where he not only drives but also lends his mechanical expertise in their shop.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Rick's true passion lies in his family, particularly his grandchildren. His dedication to helping others extends far beyond his family; whether it's supporting his church, guiding the Fire District, or lending a hand to a neighbor in need, Rick is always there when his community calls.
