Lillie Bodda is a dedicated student and volunteer with the Siletz Valley Fire District. Born on January 7, 2009, in Coos Bay, Oregon, Lillie grew up with a dream of becoming both a firefighter and a police officer. Her passion for serving her community led her to join the fire district in August 2024.

Currently a sophomore in high school, Lillie is committed to her education, maintaining honor roll status while working toward her EMR licensure. She hopes to attend Oregon State University after graduating high school in 2027. Lillie’s drive to help others and her strong work ethic make her an asset to the Siletz Valley Fire District.

Lillie enjoys the supportive and welcoming environment at the fire district, especially the chance to learn life-saving skills and work with exciting equipment. Her favorite memory so far has been participating in engine evolutions and impressing her peers by excelling at hose rolling.

Outside of the fire district, Lillie loves walking, writing, and drawing. She dreams of visiting France and Greece one day and is passionate about causes like suicide prevention. Lillie is also a big sports fan, cheering on the Miami Dolphins during the NFL season. At home, she enjoys spending time with her 14-year-old cat, Marley.

Lillie’s advice to younger people is simple but wise: focus on yourself and your goals, and always pay attention to what matters most. With her dedication, curiosity, and commitment to helping others, Lillie is well on her way to making a meaningful impact in her community and beyond.
