Alex Barnhart
Alex Barnhart is a driven and compassionate 16-year-old volunteer with the Siletz Valley Fire District. Born in June 2008 in Indianapolis, Indiana, Alex has always been eager to make a positive impact on the world around him. This passion led him to join the fire district in August 2024, where he’s embraced the opportunity to serve his community and grow as an individual.

Currently a 10th-grade student, Alex brings adaptability and determination to the team—skills that helped him successfully graduate from the Firefighter 1 Academy, a proud milestone in his journey. He joined the fire district with the goal of “being the change” and has found inspiration in the welcoming and supportive environment the district offers.
Outside of firefighting, Alex is passionate about drug and substance abuse prevention, a cause close to his heart. In his free time, he enjoys hanging out with his girlfriend and spending time with his dog, Walker. Though he’s not certain about his long-term career goals just yet, Alex believes that “the right job will find you” and is excited to see where his journey with the fire district takes him.
Alex’s dedication to helping others and his willingness to learn make him an asset to the Siletz Valley Fire District. With his strong values and drive to make a difference, he’s sure to leave a lasting mark on his community and beyond.
